About Bootcamp
The Stroke Bootcamp is an intensive rehabilitation program developed by Adelaide researchers to support the recovery of arm and hand function following stroke.
Built on the latest rehabilitation research, the program combines evidence-based rehabilitation with meaningful practice to help participants improve function, confidence, and independence in everyday life.
Delivered by experienced clinicians and supported by the university, the Bootcamp combines high-quality rehabilitation in a supportive group environment. Participants work alongside others on similar recovery journeys, fostering encouragement, connection, and shared success.
Originally developed and evaluated through research, the program has demonstrated significant improvements in upper limb function, self-confidence, and quality of life for people living with stroke. Its success has led to expansion beyond metropolitan Adelaide, improving access to intensive stroke rehabilitation for people living in regional South Australia.
